It's back! With the goal of bringing a little cheer to patients in the hospital during the holiday season, the deviantART Holiday Card Project connects deviants from around the world and applies their tremendous artistic abilities in designing and creating uplifting holiday cards. In past years, the Project has received more than 5,000 cards sent in by more than 1,000 deviants from 50 different countries/political regions. Cards were then divvied up and distributed in-person by deviantART members to local Los Angeles, CA hospitals, with additional cards given to various hospitals in the U.S. and abroad for hospital staff members to hand out

Freedom Writers

Last Wednesday, I had the opportunity to Skype with a woman named Erin Gruwell and one of her previous students, a Freedom Writer, named Narada. KITTIES!!!!

I just picked out my kittens last night and they are ADORABLE! Their names are Twister and Zoom. Twister is a boy, named for the way he chases his tail and the path of destruction he leaves behind. Zoom is a girl, named for the way she gives a little shimmy and then takes off really fast, usually to pounce on your feet. They are both very hyper and like to climb where they aren't supposed to. Come ON, Friday!

I just can't wait for Friday to come! I'm going to be getting two kittens from one of my mom's coworkers and it just can't happen soon enough! Most likely name for a girl: Delilah. Most likely name for a boy: either Marvel or Milo. They're grey tabbies and they look so adorable! I haven't met them yet to decide whether I'm getting two girls or a boy and a girl. Whatever, as long as I get my kitties!
